CS Preorder Manager

Sales orders can be marked as Preorder by turning the switch on the sales order On. If the Sales order is marked as a preorder, the Shipment Date on the sales order lines will be equal to the Delivery Period Start date:

The Delivery Time for this customer was set to 2D which results in a planned delivery date 2 days after planned shipment date.

The Preorder switch on the sales order will only affect the planned delivery date of items with a delivery period. If items do not have a delivery period, the regular shipment dates will be proposed by Business Central:

If the Preorder switch is off, The Delivery Period will be visible in the sales lines for regular orders, but is not used for planning purposes. The Planned Delivery Date will be calculated according to standard functionalities of Business Central.
