CS Preorder Manager

A Delivery Period is a timeframe in which sales orders can be delivered to customers. Preorders (sales orders) can be placed for planned delivery within the specified delivery periods (‘drops’).

Delivery periods are defined per item; planned delivery dates in sales orders may vary per order line depending on the delivery period that is defined per item.

An unlimited number of delivery periods can be identified on the page Delivery Periods.

Code:

Unique identification of the Delivery Period, visible on items and in sales orders.

Description:

A free to use description.

Starting Date:

Defines the planning date on Requisition Worksheets and will be the Shipment Date in sales orders.

Ending Date:

Defines the cancellation date for items that are not delivered within the specified delivery period.

The Delivery Period of an item will only affect the initial planned delivery date on a sales order for this item. Sales orders can be registered for other planned delivery dates of this item. Items that are Blocked or Blocked for sales cannot be selected in sales orders.
