For the colours, the base table needs to be filled with a Code, Description and a Reference. The Colour reference is limited to the number of characters in the setup page and will be used in Item numbers or variant codes that are created.

The description of each colour can be translated in the languages that are defined in Microsoft 365 Business Central using the Translations option in the menu.

Translations are visible in the factbox.

The description is a default description for a colour code that is inherited when you add colour codes to a model. The description and the translation of a colour code can be changed per model if required.

For the sizes the base table needs to be filled with a Code, Description and a Sorting (numeric value) that is used for displaying sizes in the right order. The Sorting will be used in Item numbers or variant codes and will have zeros to fill the code to the Size Sorting Length on the Setup page:

If you use American Sizes such as S, M, L, XL, XXL we recommend to use a sorting code in range like 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. Should you have intermediate sizes such as S/M, L/XL, etc these sizes can have a sorting 15, 35, etc.

Size Groups and Colour Groups

CS Fashion Central Premium creates items in all combinations of colours and sizes from a model. Multiple colours and sizes can be easily added to a model using Colour Groups and Size Groups. The colour group and the size group is meant to be a template for a series of codes that can be applied to a model no.

The use of colour groups and size groups is not mandatory. Colours and sizes can also be applied to models from the base colour table and the size colour table. The Colour Group and the Size Group will function as a template for these dimensions in order to create items and variant fast and effectively.

Size Groups can have a range of different sizes, that are used as a template to apply all the sizes of a size group to a model in 1 click. The sizes of a group are maintained using the Sizes option in the menu:
